PROJECTION MAPPING   —   2021

Duration  —  3.18 min

In 2021 Kati’s work “Morphogenesis” earned the distinction of being selected as one of the finalist projects on Zsolnay Light Festival’s projection mapping competition.

“Morphogenesis” takes its audience on a profound journey through the ever-evolving landscape of change and progress. At its core, this project weaves biomorphic structures into the very fabric of a cathedral, infusing it with life and vitality. Through the integration of nature inspired elements, the cathedral depicted in the work undergoes a breathtaking metamorphosis. It becomes a living, breathing entity, intricately woven into the fabric of existence, embodying the essence of perpetual growth and transformation.

The cathedral’s metamorphosis, as it merges with the living, ever-adapting organism, symbolizes the cyclical nature of life and the dynamic interplay between human endeavor and the natural world.

By merging the realms of nature, architecture, and technology, “Morphogenesis” offers an exploration of the interconnectedness of our ever-changing world, all while inviting viewers to contemplate the enduring cycle of growth and renewal.
