Substratum explores the hidden layers of existence and identity. These invisible strata are at the same time the foundation of who we are and the obstacles we must encounter and transform in order to grow. The work approaches transcendence as a journey that unfolds through fragmentation and unity. At first, transcendence may appear as a linear movement, a path forward in a single direction. But when we experience it more deeply, it reveals itself as a cycle: each crossing brings us to a renewed self, which then again seeks a new transcendence.
